FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
Everything folks ask about Mindful Bubble Breaks, in Queen Bubbles Bee’s own words.
Is this a substitute for therapy or medical treatment?
No, and I want to be really clear about that one, not cute about it. Mindful Bubble Breaks is a general wellness and relaxation practice: thirty seconds to a few minutes of breath and movement to interrupt a stressful moment in your day. It is not therapy, it’s not medical treatment, and it’s not a substitute for professional mental health or medical care.
If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, or anything else that needs real clinical support, please go get that support. A bubble break is a nice addition to your toolkit; it is not the toolkit. I’m someone who figured out something that helps on hard days. I’m not a therapist, and I’m not pretending to be one.
If you’re in the US and struggling right now, you can call or text 988 anytime to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Which path should I pick?
Pick the one that sounds most like your day. The Active Path, “Slow Down & Be Mindful,” is for days spent on your feet and on the move. The Seated Path, “Get Moving & Be Mindful,” is for days spent mostly in a chair. The Adaptive Path, “Mindful Your Way,” is for anyone living with a physical disability, chronic illness, or mobility limitation, or an intellectual or developmental disability, and for anyone who thinks and processes things differently.
Here’s the good part: the full course unlocks all three, so you’re never stuck. Switch anytime from the course menu. (If the Adaptive Path is the only one you need, you can also get it on its own. More on that below.)
What if I miss a day on my tracker?
You pick the tracker back up the next day and you do the break. That’s it. That’s the whole instruction.
Here’s the thing nobody tells you about the 30-Day Bubble Break Tracker: it was never a perfect-streak-or-you-failed situation. If day 4 got eaten by a bad day, a sick kid, or a client who wouldn’t stop talking, day 4 doesn’t get an X through the whole rest of the sheet. Mark it “Not today,” or just leave it blank, and go do day 5. The tracker is there to build a habit, not to grade you. I’ve had plenty of days I didn’t blow a single bubble. I still count myself as someone who does this.
What if I fall off after a few days, like, I just stop for a while?
Welcome to being a human person with a nervous system. This happens to basically everybody who’s ever tried to build a habit, me included. The fix isn’t some big dramatic recommitment ceremony. It’s just: notice you stopped, and do one bubble break today. One. Not a make-up week, not a pile of breaks in a row to “catch up.” One break, today, and you’re back on the horse. If you fell off because bubbles genuinely didn’t fit your day, go check Module 4. That whole section exists because I know the wand isn’t always practical, and it gives you other ways in.
This feels silly. Is that normal?
Extremely normal, and honestly, good. You’re standing at your desk swaying your arms and counting out loud, or you’re blowing bubbles in a break room while your coworker gives you a look. Yeah, it’s a little silly. I built it that way on purpose. Silly is what gets you to actually do the thing instead of overthinking it into a spa day you’ll schedule for “someday.” If you feel a little ridiculous, that’s usually a sign it’s working, not a sign you’re doing it wrong. Do it anyway. Nobody is grading your form, friend.
Can I do this if I have a physical disability or health condition?
Yes. The Adaptive Path, “Mindful Your Way,” was made with you in mind, and the Seated Path works well if your day happens mostly in a chair. Every practice in this course, including the alternatives in Module 4, is built around a few simple ingredients: shifting position, breathing a little deeper, moving what you’re able to move, and, if you like, using your voice. None of that requires full mobility, standing, or any specific physical ability.
If a movement described in a module doesn’t work for your body, adapt it: do it seated, do it with the range of motion you have, do it with just your hands or your breath if that’s what’s available to you. The goal is the mental sidestep and the deeper breath, not a specific pose. If you have a health condition where movement or breathing exercises need a doctor’s sign-off first, please get that sign-off. I’d rather you check with your doctor than skip something you need to check on.
Can I do this if I have an intellectual or developmental disability, or if this is for someone I care for who has one?
Yes, and I’m glad you asked directly instead of just quietly deciding it wasn’t for you. The Adaptive Path, “Mindful Your Way,” is built for people with an intellectual or developmental disability and for anyone who thinks and processes things differently. If you’re doing this for someone you support or care for, start there. You’re welcome to do the steps together, keep things short, and skip the words if that works better.
The same rule from the answer above applies here too: the goal is the reset, not a specific “correct” way of doing it. Adjust anything that doesn’t fit and keep what does.
Can I buy just the Adaptive Path?
Yes. The Adaptive Path, “Mindful Your Way,” is available on its own, one-time, for less than the full course. See the price and buy it here. It’s for people living with a physical disability, chronic illness, or mobility limitation; people with an intellectual or developmental disability or who think and process things differently (such as ADHD, autism, or a processing difference); and their caregivers, support persons, and job coaches.
It works on the honor system. I’ll never ask for proof, a diagnosis, or an explanation. It’s the complete path, every lesson in full, with the quizzes, the 30-Day Tracker (including the easy-read picture version), and the certificate. If you buy the full course for $49, the Adaptive Path is already included, so there’s no need to buy both. See how the Adaptive Path is built.
How long until I see results?
Honestly? Some of it you’ll feel the same day: a calmer few minutes, a slightly less clenched jaw, one less snapped reply to a coworker. That part’s fast, because a slower exhale and a break from your screen do shift how your body feels in the moment.
But if you’re asking “when does this become an actual habit I don’t have to think about,” that takes longer, and I’d rather tell you the truth than sell you a fantasy. It takes weeks or months of repetition, not days, before a behavior starts to feel automatic, and how long varies a lot from person to person and habit to habit. (The old “21 days” number everybody’s heard is a myth.) That’s exactly why the tracker runs for 30 days instead of a week. The 30-Day Bubble Break Tracker is a real milestone, not a finish line: it’s there to prove to yourself you can do this. Keep going past it if you want the habit part, not just the moment part.
When can I buy the course?
Soon! The course page already shows everything that’s inside and the prices: $49 for the full course, $29 for the Adaptive Path on its own, and group packs. Purchasing opens as soon as everything is ready. Want to hear the moment it does? Join the free Queen’s Bubble Break.
Right now! Head to the course page: $49 for the full course, $29 for the Adaptive Path on its own, or a group pack for your team.
Do you ship outside the US and Puerto Rico?
Not yet, and I’m sorry, because I’d love to. For now the course, the Adaptive Path, group packs and every piece of merch are sold inside the United States and Puerto Rico only. If checkout looks like it’s coming from another country, we’ll show you a note instead of taking your money and then having to send it back.
The plain reason: selling in another country means registering for that country’s sales tax first. The UK and the countries in the EU charge tax on a digital course from the very first sale, and our print partner adds tax to orders going there too. Doing that properly in a few dozen countries costs far more than a shop this size takes in right now. It’s a “we’re small,” not a “we don’t want you.”
What you can do: on the course page or in the Beehive Shop, pick your own country from the list (and leave your email, if you’d like) and we’ll write to you the day we can open where you are. We take a guess from your clock, but the list is there so you can correct us, and there’s a box for anything you’d like us to know. Even with no email, your country gets counted, and that’s honestly how we’ll decide where to open next. And the free Queen’s Bubble Break email is open to everyone, everywhere, right now.
Where do I find my course after I buy it?
Right after checkout you’ll see a “Start the course” button, and we email your access link to the address you used at checkout. Got an access code from your group instead? Enter it with your own email on the redeem page. Lost your link? Go to the course page and use “Already bought it? Get your access link,” and we’ll send a fresh one. Your quiz progress is saved on the device you use.
What’s your refund policy?
Short version: all sales are final. The only refunds are for a billing mistake on our side, or a merch order we can’t ship in the time we quoted. That covers the full course, the Adaptive Path on its own, group packs (including seats nobody uses), and merch. The course is a digital purchase you can open right away, so please make sure it’s what you want before you buy, and if you’ve got a question about which option fits, ask before you check out, not after.
For merch: if something arrives damaged, misprinted, or wrong, email support@queenbubblesbee.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo, and we’ll send you a free replacement. If we ever cannot ship an order in the time we quoted, we will email you and you can accept a new date or cancel that order for a full refund to your original payment method. And if you ever have trouble getting into the course, that’s a delivery problem, and we’ll fix it. Full details live on our Refund Policy page; this is just the plain-English version.
Do I need any equipment? Do I actually need to buy bubbles?
Nope. You don’t need a single bottle of bubble solution to do this course. Module 4 exists entirely because I don’t want a wand to be the reason you don’t reset. It walks you through other ways in (a silly song, counted movements, an arm-swing walk, watching something outside your window, people-watching, or making up your own) that do the same job bubbles do. If you want to grab an actual bubble wand because it’s fun, go for it. I love that for you. But it was never a requirement, just my favorite costume for the same idea.
Is this for people with physically demanding jobs, or only desk workers?
Built for both, on purpose. That’s why the course has paths. The Active Path is for the on-your-feet, hands-busy, moving-around day: a job site, a hospital floor, a delivery route, a restaurant rush. The Seated Path is for the desk-and-screen day. If you’re on your feet all shift and nowhere near a chair most of the day, you’re not an afterthought here. You’re a big part of why this course exists.
I drive for work, or drive during my day. Is any of this safe to do behind the wheel?
Good question, and I want to be really direct about it. The breath itself (in through your nose, out slower through pursed lips) is fine to do while you’re actually driving, because it asks nothing of your hands or your eyes; you can run it hands-on-the-wheel, eyes-on-the-road, no different from any deep breath you’d take anyway.
Everything else in this course is built for a moment when you’re stopped and parked, not for while a vehicle is moving. That means no blowing real bubbles behind the wheel, no closing your eyes for the Pause, and save the Five-Senses Reset (Module 5) and any of the Module 4 alternatives that ask you to sing, watch, count, or look around for whenever the car’s actually parked. A red light doesn’t count as “parked” either. Wait until you’re stopped for real. If driving is a real part of your day, the simple version is: breathe now, save the rest of the practice for whenever you’re parked.
Can I share this with my team at work? Is there a version for weddings or events?
Module 9, Spread the Bubble Joy, is built exactly for this. It covers bringing a Bubble Break into a team setting — a shared reset for a staff meeting or a rough shift — and into your own household, always as an invitation and never as a rule. Go there for the group version once you’ve got the individual practice down for yourself. And if you want the really big version — a whole crowd, one cue, and a sky full of bubbles at a wedding or a party — that’s The Bubble Mass Ascension, a complete guide that comes with the course. Whoever ends up running the event doesn’t need to have taken the course to use it.
Sharing the practice is different from sharing your course access, though. Each course purchase is for one person. If you want everyone on your team to have their own course, a group pack is the way to go (see the next question).
Do you have group pricing for teams, schools, or programs?
Yes. Group packs give each person their own full course, all three paths, and you pay once up front. The more seats, the less each one costs: $32 a seat for 5 to 9 seats, $25 for 10 to 24, $20 for 25 to 49, $16 for 50 to 99, $13 for 100 to 249, $11 for 250 to 499, $9 for 500 to 749, $8 for 750 to 999, and $7 for 1,000 or more. You’ll see your exact total at checkout before you pay. Need a different number? Pick any number from 5 up, and each seat is billed at the rate of the biggest pack you reach (for example, 30 seats are billed at the 25-seat rate, $20 each). Every code comes to the buyer’s one email, so nobody else’s address is needed. If you’d rather, you can invite your people by email from your group dashboard instead. If a number you pick costs more than the next pack size up, the order form tells you and lets you switch with one click.
Here’s how it works. After checkout you get one single-use access code per seat, shown on your confirmation page and sent to your email as a simple list. You hand out one code per person. Each person enters their code with their own email on the redeem page and gets their own course link. Codes don’t expire, each one works once, and you’re in charge of sharing them. Group packs are final sales too, so unused seats aren’t refundable; pick the size that fits the group you have. The details are in the group license terms.
I bought this for myself. Can I also use it with my kids, or is it adults-only?
There’s nothing in here that’s inappropriate for a kid to do alongside you. Breathing, blowing bubbles, singing a silly song, and watching a bird are about as harmless as activities get, with one practical caution: treat bubble solution like any other kids’ craft supply. Keep the bottle and cap away from toddlers or anyone who still puts things in their mouth, avoid getting it in eyes, and keep an eye on little ones while it’s out, same as you would with any bottle of soapy liquid.
That said, this course is written for adults working through their own stress, not designed or tested as a kids’ program, so I can’t promise the language or reflection prompts will land the same way for a child. If you want to do the breaks together as a family activity, go ahead and have fun with it. Just don’t expect the reflection questions to make sense to an eight-year-old.
Do I have to do this at the exact times you mention, like 10 AM and 3 PM?
Nope, those are just the times that work for my day: the mid-morning slump and the after-lunch crash. Pick whatever two (or one, or three) moments actually match when your energy tanks or your stress spikes. The timing isn’t sacred; the interruption is. Set it wherever it’ll actually get used. (The free Queen’s Bubble Break email gives you a friendly nudge once a week, on the day and at the time you pick.)
What’s the Queen’s Bubble Break?
The Queen’s Bubble Break is a free weekly email. When you sign up, you pick the day of the week and the time you want it, and it comes then, on your own clock. Every email has a “Change my day and time” link, so you can move it whenever your week changes. If you signed up before you could pick, yours comes on Sundays at 2:30 PM, your time. It’s short: a kind word and a nudge to take a 30-second Bubble Break. That’s the whole of it. There’s nothing to sign in to, nothing to log, and no streak to keep up — I don’t keep a record of when you take your breaks. No guilt and no catching up. One break counts. Now and then an email may also carry one short, clearly labeled note about Queen Bubbles Bee news, like the course opening or the Beehive Shop, always after the message. Some Breaks carry a one-time discount code, and each code is good for 7 days, until your next Queen’s Bubble Break arrives. You can sign up here and unsubscribe anytime.
Do I get a discount after I buy something?
Yes! Every order comes with a little thank-you code in its email, good for thirty days:
- Buy the course (or the Adaptive Path) at full price and you get 15% off everything (except group packs), good on up to 10 orders.
- Buy the course with a discount, a group pack, or the $20 upgrade, and you get a one-time 10% off code made for the Beehive Shop.
- Buy from the Beehive Shop and you get a one-time code made for the course: 15% off if you paid full price, 10% off if you used a discount. Already have the course? Then it’s a one-time 10% off for your next Beehive Shop order instead.
Every code works on anything we sell (the course, the Adaptive Path and the Beehive Shop), just not on group packs. At checkout, type it into the “Add promotion code” box. One code per order.
Will I get access to future updates or new modules, or is this it?
The full course purchase covers the course exactly as it exists at checkout: all three paths, each with all nine modules, a quiz for every module, the 30-Day Bubble Break Tracker, the Certificate of Completion, and The Bubble Mass Ascension guide. (An Adaptive Path purchase covers the Adaptive Path the same way.) That’s what you’re paying for, once, and it’s yours to keep and revisit anytime. It’s not a subscription, and there’s no ongoing charge or obligation on your part. If the course gets meaningfully updated down the line, details on access to that will be shared separately, but nothing about your purchase today commits you to anything further.
Is Queen Bubbles Bee a real person?
Yes! Queen Bubbles Bee is a real person who realized she could bring joy to the world by teaching people about breaks and bubbles! Every lesson is written out in full, and you can also listen to it or watch it. The Listen and Watch versions are read by AI digital twins of her: computer-made versions of her face and voice, reading her own words, so they are not recordings of her in person. Everything else here is as real as she is: a real person writes the lessons, chooses the safety notes, checks the bee facts, and reads every email you send.
Can I listen or watch instead of reading?
Yes. Read, listen, or watch! However you learn we have you covered. Every lesson has a Read, Listen, and Watch button at the top. Listen and Watch are read by an AI digital twin of Queen Bubbles Bee, a computer-made version of her face and voice reading her own words, and you can pick the guide you like best. The whole lesson is always written out underneath too, so screen readers, read-aloud tools, and reading along all still work.
I don’t think I’m a “wellness person.” Is this going to feel woo-woo or preachy?
If you’ve read anything else I’ve written, you already know the answer’s no. I think most wellness content takes itself way too seriously. There’s no incense, no chanting, no telling you to manifest anything. It’s breath, movement, and a little bit of silliness, explained plainly by someone who uses it on real, busy, messy days. If a module ever starts sounding like it’s asking you to buy a crystal, you have my permission to email me and roast me for it.
